One dark night in November 1994 Chouby decided to take a hike on the streets of Kearny NJ. Although he was only half year old he knew his way around. This was a good town for a cat, Chouby said to himself. Plenty of people, plenty of food, and plenty of commotion. Chouby saw a car approaching slowly and wanted to check it out. The car stopped and the door opened. "You want a lift?" someone asked. "Yeah, what the heck". Chouby hopped in. Chouby invited himself into the second floor of a very old house. He immediately ate two pieces of cheese -- he hasn't eaten for almost a day. While he was eating he noticed someone ran out off the house and came back with a bag of "nine lives". He ate a whole can, and gave it a long burrrrrrp. That night, Chouby had a dream. He dreamed growing up in a warm sunny apartment, eating crabs, hams, beef jerky and drinking out off the wine glasses in the sink. When he woke up in the morning he knew that was going to be his life. |
Chouby died on June 8th, 2006 at the age of 12 at Brookfield Veterinary Hospital at Redmond, WA. His body was flown to Bellingham, WA on that day and buried at Karen and Jerry's beautiful garden, along with his favorite toy. A fern was planted on his grave and it'll soon be lush with green leaves. Just the way Chouby would like it. Chouby will always be remembered by his loved ones. |
